H&R Block’s software is very easy & uncomplicated to use. It asks you questions, you answer, it reviews your answers and if there’s a question, it asks you…again! It is able to answer your questions/concerns by linking you to information or you have the ability to contact them directly. I’ve used this software for well over a decade and highly recommend it.

There were some significant glitches this year with sending and with checking status. A couple of returns submitted for family members were rejected by the IRS multiple times before they were accepted without making any changes. I don't know if the problem was with the software or with the IRS but nobody seemed to care when I reported it. I have been using this software for years, so it is easiest for me to use but I am considering switching next year. There are glitches every year and there seems to be a lot of updates, even after I have submitted my return, and there is no indication what the changes so I have no idea if it would have had any impact on my return. It is pretty straightforward to use though. Overall, it is OK.
