Easy to use. After the first year, it carries forward information to make things even easier. Asks questions to make sure you don't miss anything. Provides answers to some more complex questions. Provides simple E-filing so you get your refund faster. Why would you not use something like this?

I have used HR Block for several years now. It is a fine software tool to do your taxes and reasonably prices. But one beef is they do not support all forms correctly because they think i.e. EV charger writeoff form is for small business only when it is not. I had to manually submit my taxes that year which is STILL not processed by the IRS. Keep up with the forms.

Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund
