I have recommended it. I switched from TurboTax a long time ago. Why - because Block was cheaper and it still is. I avoid the “free filing” claims. I want to be able to keep my return stored on my pc and not somewhere else where I do not have easy access. My only con would be the cost of an additional state download. It cost more than the original deluxe plus state software that I preorder each year.
