I have used H&R Block software to do my taxes for many years and I have always given 5 stars. But this year even though my state tax return seemed to be properly done and audited by the software, I had to pay an additional small amount, because they found an error.

Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to import documents

Inability to Direct Import Charles Schwab Sch D

While I find your H&R Block tax preparation software to much more error free than Turbo Tax, I was very disappointed with the fact that the 2021 tax preparation software could not import financial investment transactions directly from Charles Schwab until about 10 days before the IRS tax filing deadline this year. I am sure I am not the only customer who became exasperated by manually having to input each singular investment transaction into your software this year if you wanted to get your tax return filed by the end of March 2022.
Cons: Hard to import documents

Handling of railroad retirement tier 1 and 2 is confusing. Inability to download software after a Win 10 reset is really irritating. A Win 10 update trashed my system and the only way to repair was to wipe and start over! You need to create a package that works with LINUX. The only reason I have not switched to Linux is no tax software.

Cons: Hard to prepare
