I have used the software for years and have been satisfied. However, I had one problem this year. The software insisted that I was due an additional stimulus payment and added that to my refund. I did not agree, but I saw no way to edit the figure. The IRS agreed with me and did not give me an additional payment.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents

Creating the federal and state returns were not a problem. However, the state return was sent but scheduled payment from my checking account was never sent to the state. I had to call the state and make the the payment on their website. I will not use H&R Block software again.
Pros: Easy to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
