Terrible experience with correcting Federal eFile

When I needed more time to complete my TY2021 filing, I submitted an automated Federal Extension request. The request was rejected due to an error, and when I went to correct the error, the corrected form was also rejected with the error message saying I had already submitted the extension form previously. A Catch-22. There was no way to automatically correct my error.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Awesome Software

H&R Block software is so awesome. I used to use another software that was similar,, but for the past 5 years this software is what my family and I use.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

Super Simple Filing - Walks You Through Everything

This is the third year that I've used H&R Block Software. It makes taxes simple. Have all of your paperwork together and then follow the prompts. The accuracy checks help reduce keying errors. The e-file feature is simple to use.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

Won’t Use Again

Unstable software. It kept crashing all the time. Convoluted user interface. Will not use again.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare

Reliable Performance and Easy to Use

I have used H& R Block Deluxe software for the past 10 years. The software is adaptable to every circumstance, including a house purchase and later sale, the opening and continuation of a small business, with and without dependents as the children got older, etc. I have never been audited and the software tells you when there is a risk of audit based upon deductions claimed, income reported, and many other common issues.

Failed in filing Oregon State return

Per the program, we had a $900 refund coming. The state identified that the taxable Social Security income as non-deductible, which the program discerned as deductible. We now owe $1,021!!!
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund

Your 2021 software did not recognize all data

1. Available brokerage data not recognized requiring me to enter manually, Not sure I got it 100% correct, but the return was accepted (so far).
2. The activation code provided didn't work and I had to call to get a new one.
3. My past experience with your tax program has been excellent so I was disappointed and surprised with my problems with the 2021 version.
