Gets the job done

Have been using the H&R Block Deluxe software for a few years now and it has always done exactly what it needs to do. Overall, the process for stepping through the various areas work well. Only pet peeves. 1) It needs to do more to incorporate crypto. I said "yes" to the question about having had gains, but after that, there were no prompts or guidance about where to note these gains (Google gave me the answer). 2) The option to file a state return electronically shouldn't cost as much as it does.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents
I would recommend this to a friend!

Easy to Use

I have used this program for the past 15 plus years and I have never had any problems doing my taxes or others. It is very easy and self-explanatory. The program basically does the work for you.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast
I would recommend this to a friend!

The software worked great till the end when i want to file and it won't let be bypass all the planning questions at that end for retirement and next year taxes
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund

Good price if taxes are not complicated

The program is a good price if you do not have a complicated tax return. However, I found it very difficult to get even a basic tax pro question answered.
I honestly don't know if importing information from IRS didn't work because of H&R Block or IRS. Also don't know if anything was done by H&R Block to maximize my return.

One minute it excepts it … the next it’s rejected. Changes every few minutes!! It was done correctly but won’t e file… I’ve had over 6 e mails!! Ridiculous!!!
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents

Had one small problem twice no chance to speak with anyone & second time I was #70 in line to chat!!! Unbelieveable!!!

State version not friendly (ND)

Filling out federal taxes was ok. Filling out North Dakota taxes was not. There was no question regarding state taxes withheld for non-residents. Had to go into the form to override. Now it is not letting me efile along with my federal form. Not nice.
