Great features, lousy software

I' used H&R Block software now for some dozen or so years and have always had great results, but for the second year in a row, your software does NOT install or update properly with MacOS, now O12.3.1/Monterey
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Rejected State Due to Company Error

Something that I paid for should have all bugs fixes and software working proper. I even wait till end of March to file, all bugs and updates are done. Apparently not this year, my state was rejected due to the company's error. I had to pay for the state software, so there shouldn't be any errors. Now it's less than 10 days before taxes are due and I'm having to re-file state due to the company's error.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents
Cons: Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

H&R Block 2021 Deluxe Federal + State Tax Software

I've been using H & R Block Tax software for many years. It's always been easy and straight forward to use. This year however the software was very difficult to update. The State Tax software wouldn't load on my primary computer, so I had to run it on my 2014 computer with Windows 10. In addition, the support is awful. It took almost an hour waiting on the phone and then I got dropped. Online chat worked but their fixes didn't work. I finally was able to reload the original software on my 2014 computer including the required updates and was able to file my returns successfully. I'm very hesitant to use this software again.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very Disappointing

I have been doing tax work for over twenty years, so I am no stranger to the IRS and tax filing in general. In preparing my Federal return, I cam across a glitch in the program which I believe was an error. I tried to call, 45 minute wait time only to be told that I needed to be directed to another department, which was another 45 minute hold. I simply couldn't' wait longer (I have a life too) just to be told that this is your busy season. It's mine too.
I then used the option to offer my question and get a response "within three days". The three days has long passed, the deadline for filing looms large, so I recast the return leaving out the entry causing difficulty. That resulted in using the standard deduction rather than the more favorable itemized route. (At least for this return). I have trouble believing that another preparer didn't come across this problem as well.

Many problems... print sizing... filing electronic

I have used your your software for 9 years, but never again. Nothing but problems. Why would it only print 1/4 size images for completed forms? Call-in help couldn't solve it. I don't think your program is friendly to Macs.

It's getting old

I've used this software for fifteen years or so. I do 6-8 federal returns per year for individuals/small businesses. It is reliable. BUT EVERY TIME I OPEN A RETURN I GET ASKED ABOUT UPGRADING OR BONUSES ON MERCHANT CARDS! EVERY TIME! EVERY!
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming
