Broken feature

For many years I've used this product and was satisfied until this year. The ability to download financial records from the brokerage failed to work. Instead I needed to input the many transactions individually manually. The connection to Charles Schwab failed to work.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

According to the IRS I didn't add items up correctly for the correct AGI
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund

Quality is there, but previous years seem better

The running total keeps on changing within screens on a specific subject. On importing 1090R the TIN is not filled in and flagged as an error. This could be because the financial institution has Xs in place of number, but HRB should flag that as an error before leaving Income 1099-R interview,
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to import documents

Good but....

Would be great if it only downloaded investments of mine into my tax return and investments for my child into his tax return. Also, would be wonderful to show why there is a difference in tax owed between this year's return and last year's return.
Cons: Time consuming

Far harder to use than it should be

You import my stock trades from my financial institution yet I have to verify the hundreds of trades they made in my managed accounts. You ask where a number comes from on a form that you generated. You don't say if a number was imported from a previous tax year or not. Thus forcing one to search the forms to know it it's right.

Mature, Dependable, Easy To Use Software

I've been using this software since the earliest days of TaxCut. It is a refined and dependable set of software. I use it to prepare my family's tax returns and estimate current year quarterly payments.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

We had some unusual circumstances. Moved all retirement funds from several sources to a single source. We also had some inheritance issues that were one time issues. We spent maybe an hour and a half, efiled and both the federal and state were accepted within 2 hours
Pros: Easy to import documents, Fast
I would recommend this to a friend!
