PProblems

I have used this product for years, and filed my taxes on 3/29/22. When I received an e-mail that my return was accepted, I went to the software and it shows that I have not filed my return, and it had not updated the changes . This is a problem, what was filed? I have no idea now.

Lots of Features

This year my taxes were more complicated. It included the normal Income, deductions, rental property, etc. I also had sale of rental property and a (K-1 2K-1) for an estate adjustment. The Software handled it with little ease and allowed me to attach forms when I filed electronically.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents, Fast
I would recommend this to a friend!

H&R Block failure to disclose vital program error

I bought the program and tried to file my taxes early because I had a big refund due. H&R Block failed to disclose at the time of purchase that their program is deficient and can not import financial data regarding sales of stocks/bonds from several financial institutions. The update came in late march. I would not have purchased this software if I knew I have to wait two months for H&R Block to update their program.
Cons: Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Would be perfect, but for 1 possible error

Makes it very easy to complete a 1040-SR with many imported 1099-Bs. There is a possible error in the way it computes next year's estimated tax payments if you select the safe harbor method (100% or 110% of 2021 liability). The user is asked only for withholding and estimated payments to date, and ignores projected withholding for the rest of 2022, resulting in an estimated payment that is too high.

Purchased in March 2021 to use as a check against IRS's Calculation of 2020 Tax.
The Software is easy to install and use (Windows version).
The only problem I encountered was with how the software handled Capital gains entry on Form 8949. The final printout had All Short-Term gains erroneously show with box B checked; the correct entry is Box A. The L-T gains erroneously showed all gains with Box E checked: the correct entries should have shown some with Box D checked mand some with Box E checked. This resulted in erroneous entries in Schedule D part I and Part II. Part I should be Line 1b (Box A), but the printout used Line 2 (Box B). Part II should show gain in both line 8b (Box A) and 9 (Box E), but it showed all gain in Line 2.

I am 83. used to have a small tax service and now out of date. so I used the Block kit. Got everything done in one day. very easy and user friendly. thanks.

Need better instructions for resubmitting tax form

Disappointed with the process of resubmitting a tax form. After figuring out why IRS rejected the transmission it wasn’t easily explained on resubmitting them. The state form I had to pay to submit and that was placed on hold. Software doesn’t explain whether to resubmit or wait for IRS to accept the federal.

Doing my taxes without the help of this easy-to-use software would have ruined/eaten up my weekend! Keeps accurate track of a lot of complicated carryovers from previous years.
