State efile problem

E-file error checking: Block wants an input from form 1099-R (IRA distribution form) Block 16; this block is blank on my form. Your program won't accept the blank, won't accept a "0"; won't allow me to efile my Maryland return without including information that does not exist.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

In person live tax preparer easy to work with. Software, absolutely wonderful following instructions from step 1 to filing.

I've been using the Deluxe version for years based on my need. It does a pretty good job of guiding you through the various topics.
I do have two negative comments: (1) You can print the submission ID (which indicates the agency has accepted your return) for the Federal but does not print it out for the state (NYS). (2) I cannot find anyplace on their web site to provide detailed feedback on their product. There is supposed to be a chat function, but I saw no way to initiate it.

Explanation of New Features

It would have been helpful to include a section about what changed in the HR Block software from 2020. It would have saved a lot of time for me. I have used HR Block software for many years, and this software was the most time consuming ever. It's usually very simple and straightforward.
Pros: Maximizes refund
Cons: Time consuming

after spending hours filling in forms, the software updated and would no longer save forms. I spent over 2 hours on the phone, got shuffled to four different people , none of whom helped, but kept trying to connect me to someone else. I finally had to log in to my account and start all over again. When my fed return was rejected the instructions were poor. I corrected the form and inadvertently resent the state form and got charged an additional 20 dollars
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents

I had to pay for an extra state and they charged me the same price I paid for the whole program...

Except for issue with Schwab imports being delayed (Schwab issue), this is an easy way to complete Federal Income Tax filing. I haven't ever had an audit due to HR Block SW, I did have to prove I was required to pay alimony though(???).
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Hard to import documents

Poor import data

Had to wait until 3/25/2022 before I could import data from Schwab same problem did not exist with Turbo tax.
This is the 2nd year in a row won’t be a user of your product next year
