Glitch with ITS form 8888

Had a difficult time filing electronically and traced to this problematic glitch in form (8888) on the Mac version of the program. Have used HR&B program for 20 + years and this was the most difficult issue I have dealt with.
Pros: Easy to import documents, Fast
Cons: Time consuming

Be nice if there was a better instruction manual

I've been using TaxCut and its H&RBlock sucessors for about 20 years. I've never had any IRS issues. However, every year it seems that the Schedule D investments never quite align with the values I get on my broker-printed 1099 -- I download a TXF file.
Not sure if the issue is the software's handling of the TXF or something else; in particular, I always seem to have issues with any 'wash sales' and a few other types of investments. It would be extremely useful if there was a set of instructions about how to interact with the software. I'd happily settle for downloadable version. The official IRS manuals are useful in understanding what a 'wah' sale is, but it is useless in figuring out how to relate the IRS language to the TaxCut 'interview' screens -- especially as related to investment. For example, was 'basis' should be listed in TaxCut? Why doesn't the 'disallowed' amount reflect in what I assume is the correct way?

E-filing a problem

I bought the delux with state, and again this year the state needed a credit card number even though I already paid for it. Also, I had to resubmit my federal. After that the state didn't show up in the software. I had to re-submit the state to get it to show, and it charged me again.
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love the carryover from year to year

I really like this process...and yet I have a suggestion. I have several account numbers with one company for retirement. I wished that I would have been able to copy or duplicate my income entry and just update the account number and the income number. I had to type in ALL the company information four times. That cannot be just me.

Truly Outstanding Tax Software Product

I have successfully used this tax preparation software for many years. It is easy to understand and find answers to my questions. It is also reasonably priced, A great tool for a very complex tax filing system.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast

Software does not allow me to print copy of return

The software did everything well except allowing me to print a copy of my return. I have tried numerous ways to to print the forms it electronically submitted to both Federal and state agencies. Because of a dispute on my Federal return, I need a printed copy and have been unable to print. Online help keeps stopping midway through explanation process.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
