Simple and easy to use

Have been using for at least the last 10 years and keep going back to it each year because it is so easy to use, so informative, very accurate, and covers every conceivable tax issue.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

Very little help in using Form 1098-T issued to the student when parents are claiming the dependent exemption and the Learning Credit. IRS Publication is so complicated and fails at an explanation also. This is from a former 30+ year IRS employee.
Cons: Hard to prepare

Software forces you to do things like preventing you from applying 100% of refund to next year. Not able to delete a section and start over - then does not allow you to edit one line item without throwing an error. Too cumbersome to print. Its cheap though. So guess you pay for what you get. Also they are late with updates.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare

Worked well except the Iowa state. Federal was ok

The state feature for Iowa was of no use. I talked to software representatives and waited for 3 updates and they were not corrected so had a armatue do it for me

I bought a new pc for the new year so when I got your package it did not retrieve my old files for 2019 2020 so I had to enter all info as new but it worked great other wise
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Time consuming

Very intuitive & straightforward

We have used the H&R Block Tax Software since 2010 and will continue to do so. I compared it against Turbo-Tax once. We prefer H&R Block's user interface over that of Turbo-Tax. So, we'll stick with H&R Block in the future.

I've used HR Block for about 3 years now. Never a problem. Directions are well written and easy to understand.
