Worked pretty well

Was able to manage and complete my return. However, when I tried to download it it gave me the wrong code that didn't match my computer and it wouldn't let me change it. I called, it took a while, but the agent finally straightened it out. The go to function was a bit cumbersome. The contact chat function was insufficient. I ended up having to call the number and had to go through several people to find resolution. The deduction pro was incomplete and it kept losing the cursor to navigate up and down the list. It was difficult to switch from one category to another.
Pros: Maximizes refund
Cons: Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents

Good results, except for 2 software bugs

I like the H&R Block Deluxe 2021 Software. It was reasonably straight forward, easy to enter my data and file my return. Only thing I didn't like - I encountered two software bugs, tried to report them, but couldn't. H&R apparently doesn't want users to submit feedback on software bugs once the tax filing season begins.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Time consuming

Great program

I have used HRBLOCK software for several years. Love it. This year, only problem was updates. IRS is behind as is NC. This is a widespread problem

Hard to use on IRA deductions. The program kept saying it was Distributions from pensions and gave a message that our IRA's did not have the required Distributions.

PROBLEM

PROBLEM - I sold 5 Capital Assets this year and reported gains on each of them. The software allowed me to put 4 of them on Form 4797, then created an Additional Page 2 for the 5th. However, the additional form does not print out when filing. Therefore nothing adds up correctly on the printed paperwork.

i have H&R block software for years now. it is the best tax software i have found. it basically does your taxes for you. it is easy to follow along adding in figures as required. if stomped it allow a help button. it also grades your return, it verified your data and fines an mistakes and show how to correct them. i couldn't ask for a better tax software
