Easy to use-doesn't support forms advertised

Two years ago I used H&R block software and my return needed a federal form 8606 for an inherited IRA distribution. Blocks software said to print the form, fill it out and mail my tax returns. this year I check the website and it said the software supported form 8606. I get to the inherited IRA distribution, same result - mail the tax returns. this is not supporting the form!
Pros: Easy to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very poor support your virtual assistant is worthl

Normally a good product, but Downloaded financial data tithe software, Stock transaction verification needs better than virtual assistant support.
Limited transactions can be more easily handled without the program when there is such limited support of direct question and only virtual assistance.

We have used H&R Block software programs for well over ten years now and we have
absolute confidence in the program and the manner in which you glide through the income tax process. I recommend H&R Block to everyone because the price is right and the exact same product as more expensive programs.

Problems

This is the second year where I have tried to file the federal return electronically and the second year where the IRS has rejected it. I have made changed instructed to make. I have double checked data that was entered. And yet it keeps getting rejected.
Cons: Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The program does not bring out very strongly the importance of receiving an IP PIN from the Government prior to filing E FILE. This must be done once every year. Should be addressed at the start of the interview.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming

Software has several glitches

The software imported all of my items twice. I had to go through everything to delete the second version of each. In the dividends area on the imported stuff the very first line if I clicked on it said something about we will look at this when we look at your house sale. Had nothing to do with the house. The third issue I had was where do you go to it jumped all over the place. And it was hard to get back to where I was. If I would’ve trusted the automatic part of the software I would’ve owed the government three thousand dollars more. I also cannot find the section for returning money out of my 401(k) from Covid. They really need to look at the software there are some serious issues. I have not had any of these issues in the last five years that I have used H&R Block.
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to import documents

Third time I used this program

the step by step process is easy to follow. Easy to go back over entries. Easy to look up things that I didn't understand what was being asked. This is my third year with this software. Will likely use again
