My only complaint was the timing of the final forms. I usually have my refund before I could even file this year.

Have used H&R for many years. The fill ins are always correct, the process is easy, just need to process the updates faster and I would be happy.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents

This software was purchased and updated, however, I was not able to submit my tax return until 2/17/2022. The problem was with schedule 1 which would not properly account for my 23 dollar addition in "Other Income". Although the IRS was accepting returns from other software providers and which did not charge for the return. Obvious the problem was with your software.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Product still has a lot of confusing features. It was late getting forms updated. Had to wait until almost March to file because forms were not ready. It asks stupid questions. Even though I file state+federal with the same program last year, it asks questions that could not possibly be true if it just looked at the previous year's taxes. Of course there are things that it DOES get from previous year's taxes. But isn't as "smart" as it could be. Its screens sometimes make no logical sense. It will ask a yes/no answer and there won't be a clear way to answer yes/no, but there might be a SKIP with on indication of what the effect will be on the YES/NO part. Generally, "TaxCut" has always been like this, but this year 2022 it's worse. And with the delays it makes you wonder.

Unable till file till after 17 Feb update because lacking proper Social Security Tables.
Did not ask me to import previous return data as has done in previous years. Without import list like charitable info and interest info had to be re-entered.
Skipped the form on bank interest had to go back to look for it.

Federal eFile held up over 3 weeks for updates

I've been using this software for over 30 years. I was ready to eFile on Jan 24, the date IRS said it would start accepting returns. HR Block's software held it up 3 times for "Updates", not allowing me to eFile the returns until the latest one on 2/17/22. NOTHING was changed from my originally completed return with any of the updates. I should have my refund by now, but it is going to be delayed. If this happens again next year, I will have to use a different program, regrettably, as I do like the program itself!
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Time consuming

Updates were slow

I have purchased this software for years and loved it. This year the social security worksheet would not update and I was delayed in filing due to H&R Block not getting their updates through earlier. This is not something new and why it causes a delay, I would not know but it was extremely aggravating.
