The online version was clunkier than I'd hoped and the instructions for purchasing the software were confusing. Once I got everything loaded, all was well. I've been using this software for over fifteen years and i see no reason to stop.

It almost worked. However, even though the software was supposed to allow me to enter my sale of s stock information, I was unable to do so. As a result, I had to have a tax person do my return this year.

NY state preparation proved difficult. HRB software tried to demand that I do a calculation for underpayment when the NYS instructions gave two criteria which exempted me from the possible underpayment penalty. It also caused an estimated tax payment to the state which I tried to delete, but could not. A confusing experience. IRS submission was trouble free.
