H&R has everything I need, and it's not too difficult to understand. E-filing is free ( I like that!). The program is reasonably priced.

Confident Tax Filing

I have been using H R Block Tax software for several years and have never had any difficulty understanding tax preparations and filing for Federal or State tax returns, This software takes the fear out of filing incorrect returns.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

Good If You Don't Have a Pass-through Entity

I have used this software for almost 10 years. It worked perfectly until this year. Once the IRS added boxes relating to the Qualified Business Income Deduction this software can no longer handle it. This is first year in many that I will have to file on paper. More disappointing, the software has min-worksheets to compute the deduction; they just don't work.
Pros: Easy to import documents, Fast
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The H&R Block software was reasonably priced, easy to use, and very effective. I have also used TurboTax recently and feel that H&$ Block is a better solution.
