Solid and fun build

The build process was a lot of fun and straightforward. I do have to deduct a little for having stickers in the kit. They unfortunately never look as good as a printed piece and the destination legos are not embossed in any way to assist with centering. The rigidity of the rear quarter panels was also a little lackluster compared to the Porsche 911 set, but you only notice if you give it a wiggle. Overall a ton of fun and mostly worth the price.

My husband has this same car -'65 Shelby Cobra Factory Five- & the same color, so I asked my Grandson to build this set for him. He enjoyed it very much! He is 8 years old & has been building 18+ Legos since he was 5. He now builds using the 3D instructions on the Lego Builder App on his iPad. He really liked all the detail: the tools & toolbox; the "Hundo" for the dash!

This one sucked from the beginning. I could barely see the dark blue bricks on the grey background. The build is flimsy and comes apart easily. I didn't enjoy this one one bit. I really wanted to.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love it. It's complex to build, but fun as well! It's not a toy for sure, but looks amazing. The scale is spot on for some reason. The seats suck, won't stay in place....but it's not a toy lol! Only complaint: instructions. The darkish gray background and Ford blue pieces are hard as heck to see in anything but bright light. And I know, Ford blue (sigh), but again? Still, this things amazing! 🙃

Though I like the mechanics included in Technic kits, I prefer the look of finished models that are block based. The Shelby Cobra is a beauty. While building, I enjoy analyzing the how different designers approach construction. This kit didn't disappoint from build to finish.
