Amazing for Kids

I know these SMART PLAY sets have received a ton of criticism, with some people complaining about the simplicity of the build or the inaccuracies of the sounds. I can only imagine these reviews come from anyone but the target audience, which is kids and playtime.
The moment my kid opened this up, he has been obsessed with it. Does he care if the sounds are perfect representations of the Start Wars universe? Not at all. To him the sounds are FUN. Plus the bricks respond to him, and he loves showing us the different ways he can get them to flash or make noise. The build was just right for him and it has felt really solid for PLAYING.
For him this is the sweet spot. He loves building LEGO, and then playing with them afterward. The interactive brick elevates this to the next level.
My main complaint is access to the interactive bricks themselves. This set should 100% have two interactive bricks in it, because you cannot battle Luke's XWing against the Stormtrooper turret as-is, which feels incomplete.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Wonderful way to bring a family together!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sadly I just deleted the pictures for this product. I submitted it a month ago and was asked to get rid of pictures with faces. This product left such a lasting impact that it is easy to review again. My whole family enjoyed putting it together. It was easy to put together and made for a wonderful family night activity. Legos in general seem pricey at first, but when everyone got involved they were worth every penny. We are not Starwars fans. Good thing they have a huge variety to choose from. I will be looking into getting other sets.

Fins set and the first one with the new smart brick. Fairly easy build but some really cool features. Great figures as well. Glad to see Lego continue to venture into this arena.

A complete set love it but need to try more girly ones

We were able to use the smart brick for the other products that didn’t have it included. I will definitely be getting other maybe more girly

Fun for play, but not for the money

Great concept here! So much fun to play with. For the money, I think adults may be more enticed to purchase it if the minifigs were either different or with some special printing detail. Most of the value recouped through LEGO Sets is minifigures, so if the cost is going to be this high, make it worth our while with some special minifigs. Thanks!!

Thr interactive play is cool in addition to the shooting little legos! My son liked playing withh it too! It's is a cool set how it all goes together!
