Asus as usual is the only company who dared take a risk and now they are blowing away the competition away with a 4k+ Tandem Oled with a 5090! I couldn't resist and now I am glad I pulled the trigger, this is a heavenly MONSTER. It makes my life as a creator heavenly and it crushes games like a beast. Keep up this direction Asus! Your engineering team deserves a Raise!

Thia laptop is good in anything . You name it video production animation drawing and video games.i should know I use it for all of them. I do however use it a bit more extensively for animation software and that by far ran smoothly and rendered faster and was more accessible . Just nit picking at my videos and choosing animation seqeunces and watching them flow was so sharp and performed excellent. Im impressed it did better than the macbook pro there was no choppiness in my macbook m4 pro but it felt slower than this pro art. It just out performed . Asus is doing something here. Now its a creator and isnt going to maybe beat a g16 or asus scar like for ex i got 4647 on steel nomad but its good, but idk, youll know for the purpose its serves creatives more appropriately. So whether its the 5090 or the amd hx 370 they did well and if they continue this and somehow push battery they could excel and have a true contender imo. If not already . Because for this thing to have 9 hours about and do what it does ,price is nothing for it. Im proud to be an owner of one. Thanks asus and this is just my opinion of my review of using the unit for a few days now. So If asked would i buy it personally yes i did and yes i would again.

Unstable. Doesn’t perform. Frequently crashes even on mundane tasks. Battery maxed out at 30 minute brand new. Poor case build with zero cooling or sound management. Major disappointment from a lifelong Mac user that needed a PC for 3D design work. DO NOT BUY.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We do understand your disappointment with the laptop and the inconvenience this may have caused if you are experiencing issues. To resolve the system crashes and stability issue, update Windows, drivers, applications and BIOS if outdated. Updates for the laptop are posted at: https://www.asus.com/us/laptops/for-creators/proart/proart-p16-h7606/helpdesk_download?model2Name=H7606WX. The battery life is approximately 9 hours of light to medium workload. However, for heavy tasks like video editing or 3D rendering, it will drain in approximately 4 hours. It is normal for laptops, with the same hardware configuration and regardless of the manufacturer, to generate more heat than normal while under heavy load especially during heavy tasking, or while running resource-intensive applications. When system resource utilization is high, this will generate more heat than normal and tends to trigger the fan to spin at full throttle. To regulate heat generation, ensure the air ventilations are free from obstructions to have efficient air flow for better heat dissipation and ensure no resource-hungry applications, services and processes are running in the background, this will spike the temperature. You can check go to Task Manager to check how high system resource utilization is being used. The heat or temperature does decrease or normalizes once system resource utilization goes down. Additionally, if you are accessing web applications, ensure the laptop has access to an established router and internet service is working properly since this will affect system stability and performance. If these steps were performed to no avail, please try to run a diagnostics or optimization test using the "My ASUS" utility software or application. More feature rich than expected but some hiccups

I'm still only a day or so into using it.
Pros: Beautiful screen. Very fast refresh. Interesting free AI graphics software. Built in large touchpad/writing pad with upper left corner circular color correction/shortcut dial. I cannot yet comment on CPU performance until I get a chance to do some audio mixing and mastering with an Izotope limiter.
Cons: Documentation of features was minimal. Power button cannot be seen in low light and is now at the top of the keyboard just above the keyboard keys on the right side. Initial use resulted in a frozen screen issue and the unit had to be drained of power and restarted to clear the problem. I thought from the description it came with a single 4Tb SSD but it actually came with (2) 2Tb SSDs instead: Being that I wanted to have (2) 4Tb SSDs I had to reinstall the ASUS software after the modification which was tricky and time consuming. There was no electronic pencil provided for the touch/sketch pad. The new AC adapter is heavy duty but with a nonstandard connection. Headphone jack is now on the left side of the machine in contrast to my old ASUS laptop (which is OK but just different).

So far, it's a beautiful machine. It seems powerful. However, I'm just getting started using it with Davinci Resolve. The screen is spectacular, and it's quieter than I thought.
