[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Straight out of the box they are heavy on the face and fall down the bridge of my nose, so will need to have lanyard to hold them in place. I don’t think I would recommend them, but will try them out and follow up with another review.

Received the lucid armor safety glasses as a gift would rate them on a scale of 1 to 10 as a strong 9 they are comfortable to wear the quality is sturdy they go from clear to dark grey very quick , I would recommend them to everyone sometimes when receiving calls in a crowded place you may have a little trouble hearing but if you cup the device slightly you hear just fine that would be the only flaw , music sounds great

An absolute gamechanger for construction

Walkie feature in the Lucyd app is pretty amazing. I'm trying to get the rest of my crew to buy these so we can ditch our walkies for good and talk on our glasses. How cool is that?
The open air sound is great for when I'm on the job, I can still hear what's going on around me while listening to music.

It’s honestly not bad just needs some tweaks

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sound is much better with a beanie hat on, without the sound is more open but still pretty good as long as there’s not a lot of background noise. Magnetic charging seems to be pretty good so far and they do feel sturdy, one problem I have is the self tint doesn’t seem to do anything or work for some reason. If that wasn’t a problem it would be better.

Hi there, thanks for your review. The autotinting lenses that are included free with Armor need exposure to direct sunlight for 5-10 hours before they start fully activating. Try wearing them outdoors for a few days in open sunlight and it should begin darkening. Note however, that these lenses, and all other transitional lenses, do not get as dark as a regular sunglass lens. We do offer sunglass lenses for Armor on our extra lenses page.

Awesome work wear

I purchased my Lucyd’s about a month ago. I am so glad that I did. I’ve had many different types of safety glasses, but my Lucyds are by far superior to any of the off the shelf safety glasses. It’s early in the use of them, but I believe they will my go to glasses from this point on. I’m considering buying
a pair of the casual sunglasses for non work times.

Really different from other Lucyd frames

The Armor is very different from my other Lucyd frames. I really like it for use outdoors when I’m golfing or going for a walk. Here are some of the new changes compared to other Lucyds:
-Charges on one side only, you only need to connect the cable to one side. This is a bit easier.
-The controls have been changed to a single button and a toggle switch for the volume. Press in on the toggle for Siri.
-The sound is really loud! It’s pretty crisp too.
-These are like the wrap style sunglasses you see people wear at the beach.
-These come with lenses that are clear and darken when you are outside, but I recommend ordering with sunglass lenses if you plan to use them outside mostly.

That’s all, pretty different from other Lucyds as you can see. I dig them and recommend them for anyone who wants an easier way to listen to music or wants some cool connected eye protection for work.

Great Idea, but Needs some improvement.

I’ve had the Lucyd Armor for about a week.
Pros: Built in speakers for music and hands free calls (in low noise level environments, heavy duty frame, sturdy carrying case, and the magnetic charger is strong.
Cons: The grips on the arms get uncomfortable with extended wearing, the speakers are not positioned well so in noisy environments it’s just muffled noise. The tint is barely noticeable in actual sunlight. Basically clear and smoke. Not noise cancelling so hands free calls are over taken by background noise.
Overall I like them for general use.
