Beautiful Sound and Easy Setup

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always loved listening to vinyl, but finding something that had good audio quality, but was easy to connect to any speaker i own was not an easy task. This Technics direct drive turntable checked all my boxes. First off, it was packed beautifully, so there was no chance of any damage. Each piece was packaged with care. The instructions for putting the machine together were simple enough that even a novice like me could follow along. When playing my records is where this product really shines. The sound quality was awesome, and fine tuning the player was so simple. I love the sound bothe through the easy to button use Bluetooth connection and being hooked up to my better system. The highs are crisp, and the lows are full and lush. It really is a great system! I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest opinion.
I would recommend this to a friend!

High quality turn table with amazing sound

The Technics Audio SL-40CBT is one of the best turn tables for an affordable price. The direct drive has high precision and is much more precise and stable than a belt drive turntable. It is super easy to such between phono and Bluetooth modes. 99% of the vinyl LPs that I have use 33 RPM so I chose the Bluetooth option over having another speed of 78 RPM with the SL-50. My kids love listening to newer music so the Bluetooth option is a must. And when I want to put on some records, I can just switch back. I am not an audiophile, but I was able to set up the turntable with ease. Overall I am very happy with this system!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This turntable plays so smooth. Sound is perfect. Easy to set up out the box. Bluetooth pairing took no more than 10 seconds for both speakers. We are in the process of converting our dining area into a home bar/speakeasy and this fits perfectly. It's sleek but has some weight to it so I don't plan on moving it around.

An impressive step up for me

I've not bought a new turntable since the 90s and still have a Technics SL-J300R and SL-QD33, both of which have served me well. However, cartridge and stylus choice for those models is extremely small, and as I rediscover vinyl, I'm also discovering the limitations of these setups. I'm also very cynical of audiophilia, which to my mind, quickly becomes a vortex of diminishing returns. All that said, even to my aging, damaged ears, this turntable is telling me there's still headroom for me to be impressed. I'm sat here listening to an old but clean copy of Vienna by Ultravox, and the hairs on my arms and neck are standing up... and that's not something I can say often these days. I think this deck is made for people like me, who like and appreciate good fidelity but don't believe that selling a kidney is necessary to achieve great sounding music. Matched with my old school Mitsubishi AV2-M and slightly younger Mission M34 speakers, the Technics SL-40CBT has proved a very worthy purchase.
