Ultimate Form of Sling Bag.

I used to own Everyday Sling 6L V2 (Ash). However, its fabric was like stiff sandpaper and had destroyed some of my shirts. I never used it ever since, so I sold that one away after. Time flies, I coincidentally found a coyote color version at a camera store. I decided to buy it because of its smooth material that is gentle on clothes and the color was also my favorite. As a result, it never damaged my shirts so far.
〈It can fits〉
< SONY α9III w/ FE24-70mm F2.8 GM II (vertically, quite tight tho,,,)
< SONY external flash HVL-F46RM
< 2 spare batteries
< PD Everyday tote
< small bellroy wallet
Worth the every penny I've spent. I swear coyote is the best color that Peak Design offer!! Recommended.

Drop in quality from the old days
on December 12, 2025

The quality of the products have dropped, but not with the overall look and feel - but rather the way it's used. Let's start with the strap. My old bags, the V1s from the Kickstarter days, had a snappiness and a responsiveness to the strap function. If I had a heavy and full backpack or messenger, or a lightly filled field pouch, I could undo the metal strap holder and seamlessly glide the bag into any position. Now I need to fumble and use multiple hands to extend or retract the strap, making it far less seamless than before.
The front pocket feels way too tight and while it functions, its options are limited. The interior accessories pocket is too small to be of any use for much other than very small objects and anything that can't go in there has to go into the main body.

Perfect every day carry.

I've been using my Everyday Sling 6L for around 3 months now and it really is a great bit of kit. It fits my Sony A7iii and 24-105mm F4G which isn't the smallest combination with ease (although I do have to reverse the lens hood) and I still have room for various accessories such as spared batteries, a lens pen, rocket blower, polarising filter, battery charger, PD Leash and PD Cuff as well as a notebook tucked away in the tablet compartment in the back of the main zipped compartment.
I love the multi-function strap and the fact it can be worn on either shoulder, cross-body front/rear ans as a waist pack. A couple of points here: When tucking the padded strap into the recess in the back of the bag to use in waist mode, undo the main zip. It makes it much easier to get the strap in. Also, the waist pack loop is quite stiff when the bag is new, but it will soften up with use and it does get easier to use over time.
I've used mine for day walks and also a couple of short haul flights and a European trips and I've had no problems getting it to fit under my seat or in the overhead locker on the aircraft.

Great sized bag with a couple of minor niggles!

I wanted a discreet bag to carry two cameras and a couple of lenses. The size is perfect, it houses a Q3 (inc grip), XT5 (inc grip), XF14, XF50, some filters and spare batteries. Quality is good, although there's no rain cover and the dividers aren't great, they're too stiff, not the right shape and snag the camera. Fortunately, I had a left over (more traditional) divider that worked better. Price was good and delivery timely.

Sony a7iv perfect bag.

Perfect for Sony a7iv including 24-105, 70-200II (in soft case) and Sony 1.4 converter. Room for PD sling and Godox 350 Flash. One of the dividers comforts then70-200 in the vertical position, whilst the other lays horizontally as a shelf with the 1.4x the PD strap and the Godox underneath. Plenty of room too for 4 batteries and cloths etc. I tried the 6L and it would tightly acccomidate the camera and 2 lenses. However set up this way means the camera is so easy to lift out and drop back in with the lense cover in place.

very poor quality outer material
on January 4, 2026

The outer material is a joke. It's completely impossible to clean if it gets dirty. And if you use water, it becomes unpleasant, as if it's stretched. I've never seen such poor material in such expensive equipment. Don't even try to expose this bag to light rain... I'm very dissatisfied three days after purchasing it.

Front pocket unusable
on January 16, 2025
Posted by: pedilio
Steps required to open the "quick access front pocket":
1. Grab bag with one hand
2. Grab zipper with the other hand. Oh, are you holding a camera? Better put that away first.
3. Pull vigorously.
4. Pry the rigid top of of the pocket back as you attempt to spread open the pocket with some other fingers in some other hand.
5. Find out your iPhone doesn't fit.
This was part of a big order and overall I'm underwhelmed. Would have been so easy to have a magnetically clasped sleeve-like pocket on the inside of this expensive bag - as seen in some of their other products - but no. Instead they make you unzip a turtle shell. Absolutely cannot understand how this gets past a design team.

Not a good design for a Peak Design Bag
on November 28, 2025

I own a number of Peak Design products including tripod, backpacks , numerous camera straps but this is the most poorly designed product. I needed a small bag for my everyday camera bag and there are a number of ergonomic problems with it.
First, for a company that revolutionized camera straps, the strap on the bag is awful. Unlike Peak Design camera straps, the quick adjust is only on one side and the wrong side of the bag if you are right handed and wear the bag on the left side of your body. It is impossible to adjust the bag without having to take it off.
Secondly the strap is a thinner and poorer quality than the camera straps. They should have use the same strap as the slide lite - it would have been better overall.
My everyday camera is a medium sized mirrorless, Nikon Z6III with 50mm lens. So not a big system but it barely fits in the bag, annoyingly the bag could have been made to open wider and slightly deeper to to make it easier to use. My Z8 wont fit unless I size up to 10L.
You cant reach the memory card holders on the far right and left side of the bag because the zipper doesn't open wide enough.
Minor annoyance but it is nearly impossible to read the serial number of the bag because it is buried in an impossible to reach location.
Peak Design could have done a lot better with this bag. This is a big disappointment for me given the price.
