Just bought the 45L bag. The design is fabulous. Love all the features AND used them. So so so clever. The amount of kit I can take on a shoot is simply amazing. This is a FIVE STAR BAG. Except for one important thing. Heavy bags need excellent padding on the shoulder straps. These straps are thin. To keep using this bag that I FREAKIN LOVE, I’m going to have to fashion a couple of Velcro fastened foam pads to stop my clavicles taking the hit for DAYS after carrying the bag. I get it! I understand why the straps have to be thin. If they were thick for comfort they wouldn’t fit inside the really useful strap concealer panels; a feature I love. Peak Design design guys…. please design some after market pads to attach to the straps at shoulder level, that can be removed and slipped into a pocket when stowing the straps. I’ll make a version to work for me now, but you’d do a better job 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

I work with film production and this bag is truly a game changer. The system with camera cubes is so versatile and I find myself leaving my equipment in the bag between shoots because it is so orderly in there. No matter how heavy I pack it out it's always a pleasure to wear. Get it!

I've had my Peak Design Travel Backpack for a few years and it still looks as good as new. When I'm done traveling I'm giving this to my son and he can continue its journey. This thing is built to last and still look great.

Bought 2 weeks ago, yet to use it on an extended trip but I’m looking forward to it.
Requires some organisation to pack properly, for example packing cubes etc.

Bought this for a cruise in Croatia and souther Italy. It was perfect for plane as well where I use it to put a small camera cube and a medium packing cube)
I will buy a large camera cube to use it at home. The material is great (I have the sage version), eveything is well designed. (I have over 20 bags and backpack and this one is one of my best.

A Backpack That Moves With You

The Peak Design Travel Backpack 45L has been my go-to companion on every adventure, from weekend getaways to month-long trips abroad. I still remember walking through the bustling streets of Istanbul, knowing my camera gear and essentials were perfectly organized and safe thanks to its thoughtful compartments and weatherproof build. The quick-access zippers saved me when I needed my passport at airport security, and the padded straps made those long walks through unfamiliar cities feel effortless. This isn’t just a backpack, it’s the travel partner I didn’t know I needed, one that’s made every journey smoother and every moment easier to enjoy.

This is the best travelbackpack I ever owned. I use it mainly as a camerabag when travelling. Just pop the large cameracube in and off I go. Also used it as a daypack when travelling Japan by train: small cameracube, small packing cube and toiletries bag. And space to spare for still more stuff. Have lugged it around the world for 8 years and still no signs of wear and tear. And I did pack it with heavy stuff, sometimes 18 kilos of camera equipment. It didn’t blink and eye and kept functioning. Love love love it
