Own 2 backpacks - 25L and recently purchased 30L. Bag is awesome and rating is solely for fabric. 1st bag in Charcoal and love it. 2nd bag purchased in Coyote. Nice looking at 1st glance but show everything. Any oils on hands leave stain on fabric. Would never buy this color again!

from New York, L A, Dublin... Anywhere work takes me
I received this as a gift to protect and transport my very expensive camera and gear well... It wasn't very protective not only did it leak water even though everything was sealed and backed up it's not very crush proof just dropping it from the bus seat to the floor jostled the lenses... I wouldn't spend my money here I don't have a whole lot of unless you want to like just loose your stuff

Great quality, but not Coyote!

I am a fan of FDE and Coyote colors, and they do vary slightly from product to product; one thing Coyote isnt supposed to be is gold. Honestly, the bag is top quality, but them calling it Coyote is very misleading! If you want a bright gold bag that catches everyone's attention and says "I have expensive stuff in me, steal me, steal me!" Then this is the color wave for you! Otherwise, stick with black or gray.

I bought my backpack a week ago and the straps have already torn. Poor build quality and will probably not buy again.

Engineered for Creators, Built to Last.

This backpack is truly one of a kind — versatile, thoughtfully engineered, and highly usable. Over the years, I’ve tried many types of camera backpacks, and finally, I landed on Peak Design. I started with the 15L Everyday Zip and later upgraded to the 20L Charcoal Everyday Backpack. I must say, it’s a wonderful bag — tough, sleek, and designed with a photographer’s real needs in mind. Easily one of the best camera bags in the market.
And I can’t go without mentioning Peak Design’s incredible warranty service — it’s the cherry on top!
Pros:
Durable and well-designed User-friendly layout Attention to small, thoughtful details Cons:
The partitions could offer more grip to secure gear better A full-zip opening would make gear management easier, especially at the start Missing a zipper in the top panel Wish: Would love to see designer editions with patterns or artwork — something unique and stylish!

Disappointing

Received this as a gift a couple months ago. I feel that the bag is highly overrated unless you’re using it just for photography. The partitioning system is cool and there bag feels high quality but i feel like it was just designed to be different, rather than to be as useful as possible. I find that it fits significantly greater things, and in a less organized way. Peak is allergic to zippers for some reason so puts them almost nowhere and instead favors pockets that “seal” with magnets. Fair warning: do not put anything small that you care about in these pockets because those items will slip out when you’re not paying attention. These pockets give you a false sense of security. The bag feels like an over-designed high-quality gimmick.

The Perfect Everyday Backpack.

This backpack has quickly become my go-to for daily use. Its compact size is just right—big enough to carry everything I need, but small enough that it doesn’t feel bulky.
It’s ideal for photographers like me who want to keep their gear organized and accessible without carrying around a massive bag. I can easily fit my camera, a couple of lenses, and essential accessories, with room to spare for extras like a notebook or a water bottle.
The sleek design makes it perfect for commuting, city exploring, or casual outings. It’s comfortable to wear, with padded straps and just the right amount of structure to keep everything secure. Despite its compact size, it has smart compartments that help maximize storage and keep everything in its place.
For me, it’s the ultimate blend of practicality and style—an everyday backpack that punches well above its weight!
