Good 2k Camera - worth it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Like the camera capabilities, but the network connectivity seems to be lacking to take advantage of WiFi-6 or 7. The application (Lorex Cloud) is HORRIBLE and needs major updates. What good is a camera if you can't monitor the view from the camera! I have purchased quite a few Lorex cameras and it's always the same issues -- lack of a good monitor application to see ALL cameras.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great product. I have so many cameras indoor and outdoor. This is my most favorite for outdoor. I love the AI feature. Also the lights schedule feature. Tracking feature. I have 2 in front of the house 2 on the side of the house. i can see people face in recording at night. Also read the logo and name on sales people when they do door to door sale.

The camera works great and the smart motion detection is pretty accurate. I found the 400 lumens to be very disappointing. It really needs to have 800 lumens if being used as an outdoor light. It would also be nice if the bulb color could be changed to more of a yellowish color instead of just bright white. I wish there was an accessory bulb that could pair with it to operate on the same schedule (like Wyze). I ended up buying two cameras to have their lights on the same schedule. I love that I don't need to connect to the cloud to use the Ai detection like the Wyze camera I tried prior. I also like that it uses the Lorex Classic app like my 8 camera NVR system. Everything all in the same place.

I really didn't want to struggle with installation and decisions about wiring, location, etc, so when I stumbled upon the Lorex lightbulb I thought "why not"? It wasn't a huge investment to give it a try and I'm glad I did. There is quite a bit of functionality with the camera and the app, and it's awesome that I don't need to pay a subscription or have my feed on the cloud. I'm able to pan around and see a lot; the quality is great at this price point! The quality suffers in low light, but that's to be expected. There's always some light though because it's also a functioning lightbulb!
