Makes things easy most of the time.

I have used Turbo Tax for about 25 years. In general it has been wonderful to use, and I love the feature that one can automatically e-file right within the program. In some cases the instructions are ambiguous (e.g. year end total of ALL IRA's or specific ones?). In addition, the forms to use to fill out interest, dividends and capital gains often change for the worse with insufficient instructions on how to edit them. Overall I like the product.

Slight Change to Investment Income Input

Turbo Tax has been an excellent and consistent product for me, having used it for what seems to be 30 years; however, the input for investment income appeared to be different this year. Rather than having the input tied to the "Payer" it seemed as if the input was tied more to the type of income, i.e. interest, dividends, etc. It was a slight difference, but an unexpected difference which made the input a little more difficult.

Glitchy!!

When I imported from Charles Schwab it mysteriously added capital gains $4000 more than what I had. I had to enter all imported data by hand. Also when checking dividends it no longer has the look and feel of TurboTax (and no BACK button!!) and it starts combining interest, dividends, and capital gains together (confusing to old folk like me).

Turbo Tax is the best software to do your taxes!

I have used Turbo Tax for years. I tried to save money this year and bought another tax software product. Big mistake. It was not the same experience. I wish Turbo Tax still included the disk but I ended up buying it anyway just to make sure my taxes were filed correctly with confidence.
