TurboTax not useful to me anymore.

I only needed the Premier Federal version without the State. Coulddn't find it anywhere?? Why do I have to pay for the state when I don't need it (in Nev)?? Product is good, but marketing is lousey!!
I Won't use TurboTax again unless you offer the Premier version without having to pay for the State too.

quick easy way to do taxes

This year I was able to automatically upload my 1099 div and 1099 int forms and it saved me so much time and uncertainty. It's a huge upgrade for me.

I was disappointed that buying 2024 TurboTax Premier on a disc was no longer an available option. This year's version seemed to have taken several different formats from prior years (I've been using TurboTax Premier about 8 years). Entering information was not as straightforward and easily understood. The worst issue is that to enter items of income, the program scrolls back to the top of the topic after each entry you make. I had multiple entries of income, so I was constantly having to scroll down after each entry, and had to spend extra time making sure I had returned to the correct payor. When you want to check a category, the expand button just gives you a summary, so you have to backtrack and essentially re-do everything just to review entries. The line for an optional account number for stock entries is useless since the account number does not show up in the resultant listing of income items. Not user friendly. The program told me I had to list IRA RMD's separately for each account, but I had aggregated RMD's from multiple accounts and had fewer 1099-R's than the number of accounts from which RMD's were taken.The IRS allows aggregation for RMD's from multiple accounts held at one payor, such as a broker. I couldn't print individual pages because it couldn't see the content well enough on print review, so I had to print out 47 pages in order to see a couple. I then had to print 47 pages again at the end.

Watch your carryovers, my IRA contributions through 2023 disappeared; only my 2024 contribution was shown. I manually changed it.
I gave up trying to get the Foreign Tax Credit for foreign taxes I paid on dividends. It used to be simple.
I've been using TurboTax since 2007.
