Just missed the mark

First time I have not given 5 out of 5.
Return was rejected because even though I clicked the box for Marketplace insurance the software did not flag that I had to include Form 8962. Only after the return was rejected was I directed to the area to fill in the info from my Form 1095-A. This should not have happened.

Transfer from previous years?

I don't understand why I have to confirm information that is being transferred from the previous year. Specifically, it asks about prior education credits and years, etc. It's not really clear on the forms where to look for that information and when you find it, it doesn't give any indication of how many years the credits have been used. So I have to go back through the last several years taxes to figure this out? Kind of the same with capital gains, etc.

Worthless if you have International Stocks

Turbo tax did not assist me with a problem with a forign investment that did not have a Federal Identification Number. There is no way to submit the return for e-filing without the number and TT did not pfovide a solution. I am extremely disappointed!

Turbox tax is great, but can always improve

Makes tax season easy and simple. The step-by-step walk-thru process is great, but the e-filing for state payment needs work. When I click on the back button to review payment information the program doesn't know what to do. It got me lost. The receipt for e-filing was a little confusing. The receipt description needs additional work. I just need to know if it's plan e-filing cost or I had accidently clicked on extra add-ons that the software continues to push to customers.
I didn't like that the extra add-ons costs are on so many windows. I had to back step a couple of times to make sure I clicked on the correct response.

User Interface seems less logical than past years. Navigation between related forms/worksheets not as clear as past years
