wind royalty needs overhaul

overall good, still needs some proofing when it comes to wind lease/royalty payments. this has caused issues for at least 2 years. the schedule E autopopulates but error messages are received which prevent the return from being filed. very frustrating for myself and 2 of your help staff. the first female disconnected me somehow. the second put in an amazing effort but couldn't quite get it done. I was able to do it with override and completing the schedule E again.

Turbotax FAILED on Rental Property Depreciation

The software did not check to see if i included the actual rental property as an asset in the rental property section. This is needed to deduct the depreciation of the actual property which is required by the IRS. I failed to take this deduction for the last 3 years and it has cost meat least $1600 which i paid in extra taxes that I cannot get back since it is past the 1 year allowance (i was able to get back $3200 by amending last years return). I also have to file a Form 3115 to account for the error for the previous years. This also requires me to file by mail since i cannot upload the required attachments to turbotax in order to e-file.

Long time user, but not always happy.

Did not explain each item as much as they have in the past. Some are self explanatory, but other questions did not clearly explain why or what they were looking for. I have no idea why they want me to pay quarterly taxes, when I clearly over paid my taxes through my retirement annuity. I reviewed the step by step, and the forms. Just don't see why they recommend paying additional money on top of what I already pay was clearly too much. Software does not go back smoothly. Sometimes yes, sometime no.

Turbo Tax is Easy to Use

Questions with your tax expert team were excellent. Showed interest and patience. My only concern is that the experts are opening the turbo tax Windows version and need to have the capability to review turbo tax in an IMAC format,
