Turbo Tax for every need

I have been using Turbo Tax for many years now. I use it because there is a product for every need depending on your tax situation.

Be careful with 1099 uploads if multiple accounts

Overall good product, particularly being able to toggle between easy step questions and forms, but a few gaps that have been flagged for a couple of years without resolution:
- Upload of brokerage 1099's: If you have multiple 1099's from the same brokerage (different accounts), that are available at different times or a correction for one of the statements is issued, if you attempt to upload select 1099's after an initial upload, all previous uploads (including additional data you may have entered on cost basis or us govt interest) are deleted and only the files selected on the most recent upload are retained (ie a previously uploaded account 1099). This may not be an issue on the on line format but is definitely an issue on download version. Guidance to clear cookies and cache does NOT resolve issue.
- 1098-T with taxable scholarship portion will net taxable portion against 529 withdrawals (if you also have associated 529 distributions). Other tax software simplifies issue by first asking if any portion of your scholarship is taxable, and if so, it will bring that amount to income directly as it should.

Hate to do taxes but love your software.

Got stuck in a loop when trying to file New York State 2024 Taxes. I got two values for the 2025 Estimated New York State taxes: zero and $7,896. Gave up trying to e-file 2024 New York State taxes.

Turbo tax worked for me

As a first-time user I had problem finding some of the input pages. Prior year overpayments should be connected to estimate page. Banking information should be with personal information, not hidden in file section. Since software allows for 5 returns suggest an input place for another preparer.

filing problem

we had trouble efiling returns and we were forced to choose the option to file with fees deducted from refund in order to file. we are getting $40 less refund which we were not happy about

It made filing my taxes easy. But when it came to making a payment info and then nothing. I have no idea if it charged my card or not. I've spent some time now trying to find out how to do this and I'm about to have to pay for live help to see what to do. Not happy.
