stupid errors sink your ship

your decision to eliminate CDs is POOR. We split time between 2 locations (within a 25 minute drive) and i NEED to be able to continue work on our taxes AT THE OTHER LOCATION.
THIS YEAR you made it IMPOSSIBLE because i was forced to ONLY DOWNLOAD the file and you HAVE STUPID ERRORS IN THE FILE that made it impossible at the second location.
I tried 50 times to install and load the "in process" 2024 file and i kept going in circles with this error that would not properly load the State returns (i needed Ohio and North Carolina). I found the description for this error code (I THINK it was 190???) and followed the instructions (from YOUR website) TO NO AVAIL.
For 2025 i WILL be seeking other tax prep packages.
You have FAILED to fix SIMPLE errors and now you've introduced a STUPID error that effectively is a FATAL error.

Turbo tax Premier Foreign tax Credit is confusing

Even your live tax experts usually don't know much about the "Foreign Tax Credit"? On review I had errors that had to be manually entered. The forms don't seem to link from schedule C to 1116.

Turbo Tax is good, but could be better

Turbo Tax is comparable to other tax software I have used. They both guide you through filling out the tax forms, guiding you through collecting the information needed. I had trouble finding where estimated taxes for the following year was to be completed. The prompt for the W-2 section should include notice that it is also for the estimated tax and it guide you through calculating the estimate. An enhancement would be to perform automatic estimate payments to the IRS; a feature one of the competitors already has.

I got help quickly but turbotax was deleting some of the imports as more imports were made. It was not starting on the first click. It used to start then vanish. Then I had to click on the icon again to start it.

Limitation of TurboTax

TurboTax does not provide the capability for adding documents that are needed to justify certain deductions. For instance, filing for "Impairment-Related Work Expenses" on Form 2106 requires the filer to add documentation the explains why the filer is taking this deduction. I have a letter from my doctor which provides this justification but will have to file my taxes via the U.S. Postal service rather than filling it electronically due to this shortcoming in TurboTax.

Very easy to file. Turbo Tax takes yo through all the income and expense deductions to choose which ones apply to your tax status.
