Watch out for State eFiling Gotchas

I'm a little miffed that I paid to file state taxes electronically to save printing and stuffing into an envelope only to find after filing electronically that I had to stuff receipts of all of my charitiable contributions into an envelope to mail off to the state tax department. If I had known that I'd have to do that, I wouldn't have bothered filing electronically.
Also note that if you were to pay for your state eFiling from your Federal tax refund, it appears that in addition to the cost of the eFiling, they'd charge $40 to "process the refund" to be able to pull the cost out. I avoided that one, but I can imagine that some might fall for it.
Otherwise, because our tax situation is fairly complicated, I'm glad for the Premier product that does Federal, Federal eFiling, and one state.

Turbo Tax Charges for Included Items

I purchased the premier version which was supposed to come with one free state tax filing. When I filed my daughters MD taxes, turbo tax charged me $16.24.

Not as good as it use to be

There is a bug in entering K1 information. US and foreign gain and loss amounts specified against the total amount. If you accidently click in the foreign column and leave the box a $0 amount is entered and can not be removed. The review says there is an error that needs to be review and to goes to that $0 amount and says no information has been entered for the source of the $0. I had to delete the K1 and start it over to correct that issue.

Great product but don't like the State filing fee

As Always, easy to use, accurate and has a comfortable feel about it. Only complaint is that It's 2025 and I am still paying to e-file my State return.
