K1 coverage is inadequate for a non-tax accounting

K1 part of turbo tax is impossible to use. I enter what in the K1 package, this is all I know. Then turbo tax ask for additional information in terms that is Greek to me. Am i supposed to be happy with this kind of product? I expect turbo tax to import the K1 tax package fill out all Form needed by IRS, just like the brokerage statement imports.

It sorta works every year

TurboTax always sorta works every year. But it's always buggy on release and it will make incorrect calculations that you wouldn't know if you blindly trusted it. Which is probably what most people do. This year it didn't know the 2024 IRA Contribution limit on launch and needed an update to make that correct. I keep using it because I know what to look for in my filing and it's the easiest way to e-File.

Clunky UI. And the program kept trying to force me to file a state return, even when it is not required. seems like it was trying to milk another $20 out of me.

Turbo Federal good.. State - dont bother

overall very good. Been using Turbo for many years However the New Hampshire State is inconvenient to use and calculates the tax WRONG. without the ability to override.

Overall positive experience, questions remain

I like how things transfer over from year to year making the process faster and easier. This software is relatively easy to use. There are still many questions I have that are not answered within the software. I continue to scratch my head and guess alot.
