TurboTax watch out as Co-Pilot will fill the forms

while pulling data from financial institutions is that much easier in this version, the recording isn't as had to manually remove institution references integrated from last years taxes. When it comes to At-Risk declarations for business (rental property), the easystep is anything but, at times leaving one to address a question that otherwise appears comes from the left field without any guidance.

Have been using Turbo Tax for decades. It continues to improve and gets easier especially given my previous experiences.

New payment feature needs work

Not as user friendly as in the past. More difficult to download or enter earnings and distributions.
A particularly bad situation is with the payment options. There was not a clear description that direct payment was an option, and I paid direct to Treasury for tax due before finishing the return. There was not an option to show a payment has been made. Last year I did the same thing and showed an estimated payment, but the State of KS amended the report - they showed I paid with the return, not as an estimated payment. Turbo Tax needs to provide an option for this

Turbo Premier lacks consistency for IRA

Purchased TT Premier. During entering data, Turbotax told us we were not eligable for 2024 IRA. We spent great deal of time recharacterizing 2024 IRA. Instructions to recharacterize were poor. Instructions gave conflicting info, and were not supported by software. HOWEVER, at the end of data entry, TT said would we like to apply for 2024 IRA!!!??? Very DISAPPOINTED in Turbo Tax!!!
