Gating files by year even with downloads is dumb

my information didn't transfer from the previous year and I had trouble initially fetching my AGI from the previous filing, not being able to open up .tax2023 files in the 2024 program is a blatant cash grab despite the fact that I paid for the previous product.

Not fun but manageable

Taxes are never pleasant particularly when they are paying for a regime that has gone rogue. However, Turbo has made it simple and straight forward and allows the common man, although I have a number of degrees including economics, to go through it fairly quickly.

Turbo tax payment issue

The process to make a payment area needs to be reviewed. It never let us get past entering the name and address. After entering the name and address it had no scroll option or continue, Very annoying because we had to save the file like 6 times. So we had to send the state by mail. And pay the fed by direct debit from a checking account, instead of credit card. This alone will make me rethink using turbo tax again.

Has always worked for me in the past in spite of increasing cost over the years. Seems to have gotten easier to use.

You need to improve Turbotax for K-1s. I'm not exactly sure my tax return is correct with the way you handle K-1s for limited partnerships. A tax expert should review this very thoroughly.

Difficult to read much of the text.

I used a Windows laptop with a 14 in screen and I had a lot of difficulty reading the various windows in TurboTax. The print in some of the windows was so small I needed to use a magnifying glass to make sure I was reading them correctly. The font size had to be 6 or less. Then there are windows where you can increase the size of the font to make the readable, but then when you go to the next window the font is either too large or too small. So I was constantly adjusting the font size. The pop up windows when I click on a link to explain something were so small that I would need to copy and past them into a MS Word document so that I could then read them. This was all very frustrating.

It is very helpful- ask question and does the calculations. Also it carries the prior year data forward so you don't have to retype.
