Home business deduction needs some work!

Need to provide additional clarification on why I'm not getting home business deduction. I received a 1099-NEC for 17,323 (worked from home as a contracted employee) and had a dedicated office space in my home. The only message turbo provided was that I didn't qualify due to my business profit being zero or less, which is clearly not the case. Some additional details explaining this would have been helpful.

Why do I need to pay to file my taxes!?! The government has all of my information, they can tell me immediately if they owe me money or if I owe them. Making citizens pay for this is criminal and Intuit should be ashamed.

Great software for completing tax return on your own. Description or explanation of most items are very good. But a few, like retirement related topics are confusing. It would help to have better, more clear descriptions or explanations in some places. Usually users forum provides answers quickly.

Good, but needs some improvement

I prefer using TurboTax to having to pay a tax expert. My finances are not so complicated. If I hired a tax accountant to prepare them for me, I would still need to spend lots of time preparing my numbers and documents anyway.
I have found two areas that were confusing or inconvenient. My husband has a monthly teacher's pension and this year for the first time I had to provide a number amount for the RMD. I needed to spend quite a lot of time finding the answer. I also don't like that I can't schedule all four of my estimated state payments. TT will allow me to set up only the first one, requiring me to take more steps later to do the rest.
