Can't Be Any Easier!

Comprehensive program that worked well

I've used TurboTax Premier for my federak and state taxes for ~20 years. In past years, I found errors in the program's ability to properly handle the taxation of in-state municipal bonds and in the calculation of the Form 1116 foreign tax credit, but this year I had no difficulty with the program for these, admittedly, common situations. The program worked well and had no glitches.

Pretty straightforward, but had to do it a second time. First time through I started entering investments manually, but decided because there was some capital gains from stocks bought and sold within a 401K I should import the file from the payer, which apparently resulted in double entry and a wildly high amount of tax due. Re did, using just the file import and it worked correctly. Aside from that, the only comment is that the level of automation of the state tax return is much lower than that of the federal return entries.

I did have a few issues after I thought I imported last year's info, but it all worked out after a very long phone call with your representative Cindy who stayed on and walked me through them as I was having a few "need reviews"

Amending return was easy.

Had to file amended return to correct manual input errors due to software not being able to import data & documents from financial institution.
