I want the CD COPY! I purchased the software i should have MY MY copy. If 2025 turbo tax is not compatible with my windows 10 operating system this will be the last year I use it.

Turbo Tax great for equity investment income.

I am retired with a portfolio of managed investments, including IRA to Roth conversions and RMDs. Many short and long term trade transactions done by the manager. TurboTax walk through questions worked perfectly and allowed me to think what I was doing rather than fill out forms and tediously transfer numbers from one box to another.

Turbo Tax - Slow to Start

Having to use the desktop SW to file jointly federal and separate in one state is annoying.
The worst thing about this SW is the start up time. Do you really need to scan my whole documents folder to find returns, it takes many minute to open now. Just let me open then like in any other SW has done for many years.

Errors found by Turbotax.

Turbotax is great. However, when Turbotax completes the final review and finds errors, I always have at least one case where it is not clear where to go to fix those errors. Very frustrating. Ideally that info would be provided when the error is listed.

I had a very difficult time this year with TurboTax Premium. First, I imported our 1099 Div, 1099 INT, 1099R, and 1099B. Most of the forms had more than one line item. They imported with figures and had questions to be answered, especially the 1099R forms. I had to go through each form and answer/fill in the blanks. One statement asked for the total of the 1099R; but after I put the total of the 1099R on each line item, TurboTax told me I was in arrears in the amount of $142,000. I finally figured that only that line item total should go into that blank after spending hours reading and chatting with other people that had the same problem, all because the definition of what was required was incorrect. Then when I finished my taxes and wanted to get Audit Defense. I wanted to pay the $45.00 by credit card. That page would not move me to the next section so I contacted the tax experts. The first person really tried but she couldn't figure it out, so she told me she would get back to me after speaking with others. The second person also tried but I could not advance to the next step. He suggested that I have the cost deducted from my refund, which also cost $40.00 in addition to the Audit Defense. I had to go with his suggestion because I want to have the Audit Defense and I honestly felt I had spent way too much time on my taxes. Both people were very nice and pleasant but neither could correct TurboTax program. I have been using TurboTax for over 10 years and within 8 hours the 1040 was complete. This year's processing took weeks. I am disappointed and frustrated, plus I'm out an extra $40.00 because I couldn't just pay by credit card.
