Once essential, the UI is worse each year

I've over three decades of history with TurboTax, so I know it well. That's primarily why I keep using it. But lately the UI has been deteriorating making more things difficult. And it doesn't handle or explain my special case situation well, primarily Schedule K-1. The prompts for "Walk me through everything" don't align with the data printed on my Schedule K-1. Also, the UI for adjusting stock option sales from 1099-B is primitive. Even on a large display the window doesn't show the full horizontal area and requires scrolling, and the scrollbar is only available on the bottom of a long list. Finally, the new page for INT and DIV entries is bogus. Clicking on a dropdown to see more info about a given 1099-INT scrolls the window back to the top. And I didn't see how to rename the 1099-B forms to keep my multiple accounts straight. I had to switch for Forms view for this.

Need a Long Time User Edition

you need to made a program for people who have been using TURBO TAX for years. you ask so maybe dumb questions over and over and it was a lot of time. if you fill in zip code make it auto fill the town and state. I use TaxSlayer in the AARP TaxAide program and it has a quality review feature where you dnt have to dig for the review.

TT needs some work

The program has a weakness in the handling of interest income form bond investments. It miscalculated the "accrued interest on bond purchases". On the State return, I needed to manually adjust the tax-exempt income applicable the return. You get what you pay for.
