I have usedd Turbo Tax for over 15 years. I have found it to be a great aid in preparing both federal and state tax returns. Having the abilty to use both the forms view and the interview is particularily useful. I move between the two views to prepare my returns. I highly reccommend this program.

I would be unable to file my return without Turbotax because my types of income have changed. I was a Taxpayer Assister for the IRS for 12 years and had up to date training every year on the new tax law. TurboTax not only saves me time, it makes sure I have all my Ps and Qs in order.

I have used Turbo Tax for many years and find it to be the best software for filing tax returns. It is easy to use and is always being updated for any changes during the tax period.

BUGGY Software, hidden fees... no more TT for me!!

TurboTax caters to the average user with relatively simple tax situations. Yet, even though the sell software for individuals with more complex or "business" situations, the software (Online and Desktop) CONSISTENTLY fails to support those users in the finer and more granular tax situations. This is most especially true when it comes to STATE filings as it pertains to K-1 filings. The walkthroughs ALWAYS omit something, which requires me to go into the "FORMS" feature and find/fix the issue myself... so why exactly am I paying for the software's "walkthrough" if I'm just doing it manually in the end anyway? To make matters worse, the "glitch" or "bugs' are different each year. I have to file in 3 states, and have to pull my hair out each year tying to figure out how to correct my forms manually x 3 Just look at the "community" comments about how many bugs there are each year, and people are scrambling for workarounds and praying for updates to fix their issue by April 15th. TT has no issue taking your money for an inferior product and letting you sweat it out. TO add insult to injury, TT charges $45 for each state form, then pulls the ultimate "GOTCHA" by telling you AT THE VERY END that it will cost an ADDITIONAL $25 per state to E-FILE. ... They say... "because not all states charge to e-file"... which is a complete CROCK, because only like 2 STATES don't charge, so how about you just adjust the price for those 2 states?!?! It's because they INTENTIONALLY wait until you're about to file because most people will just say "...oh well... I guess I'll pay the $25". BUT for me it's $75 (for 3 states) on TOP of the $135 I paid just for the state returns! They nickel and dime you instead of being up front and honest, AFTER they sell you GARBAGE software that you can't use without manually adjusting your returns. NO MORE TT FOR ME!!!!
