Be careful. The $45 charge gets added

This is the worst experience I have ever had with filing a tax return. I have used turbo tax for years I do not like this program it omits things and now it won`t let me pay by credit card. I may try a new program next year. UN HAPPY!!

Switched from TurboTax Online to TurboTax Premier

I've used TurboTax Online for the past few years and it was always very frustrating for me because the transitions between pages are slow and you can't easily see the effect your changes are having on the actual forms that will be sent. So this year, I decided to try the desktop version (TurboTax Premier) and it was a much better experience. Page transitions were fast. Imports that didn't work with the online version worked in the desktop version. It was easy to navigate between all the different sections of the tax return. I finished my taxes in a much lower state of frustration this year.

Improvements Needed on the State Level

I have been using TurboTax for several decades. The Federal TurboTax is very good. The Mississippi state TurboTax program needs a lot of improvement. As an example Form 80-107 Income/Withholding Tax Schedule. I had to manual input the income values for almost all the accounts! This was very time consuming. Some of the accounts contained bonds, and corrections were necessary, TurboTax does provide the user/me with the remaining taxable value by account.
