duplicate data entry

worked great, program did hang once during cost basis editing and entry, also you should add a validation to catch duplicate entries of 1099 entries with same exact dollar amount, I had a duplicate entry for etrade and morgan stanley for the exact same amount, it should give a warning for this potential duplication since these dollar amounts are not typically the same exact amount..

Disappointing changes in this year's input screens

Very disappointed with the new format for Interest, Dividends, and Stock transactions. Very confusing now. I don't understand why TT makes changes every year to formats that add nothing.

Turbo tax falls short

Keep change views of data without any improvement. For instance Wage input is now multiple screen for no added benefit. Unless there is a compelling reason to change input screens better to leave them as they have been. Turbo tax was forcing me to pay for federal filing even though I only owed for new jersey return filing.
Screen said I owed $40 for filing fed. Called support. Was on the phone for 40 minutes and then the phone went blank. Called back and was on the phone for another 30 minutes. Support obviously had no idea what was going on and offered me a discount. Support said I could reuse discount for my other returns. Guess what ? That is not the case. Each year it seems turbotax is getting more difficult to resolve issues. I spend more time on the phone finding out what the problem is the doing returns. Ugh Even choosing a nickname is troublesome. Tried Ed "too short" Tried "big ed" somebody already used.

Just a suggestions. Many returns don't require the need to go into "other Tax Situation". Missing the opportunity to apply refund to next years return. Option to "apply to next years return" should be an option on the page where you choose direct deposit or e deposit a check. Otherwise people have to research help to find out where to do this.

I have been using Turbo Tax Premier for more than fifteen years and would use no other. The program gets more intuitive with each passing year and there is no other program that I would even consider. Loyalty to a brand is what counts and this year I had one question and used the 800 connect and was almost immediately connected to an individual who understood my issue and helped me to navigate through it with a major sigh of relief. That sort of service is invaluable.

Completing the return on my MacBook Air was fairly easy, however the program failed when I attempted to print a review before filing. Trying to find help brought me to a page where other Mac users stated the same issues but there was NO resolution. Very annoying!
