It does the job.

I don't like that Turbotax saves last years form downloads from previous year with $0. After I download the current year's, I need to find and delete last years.
It also doesn't handle the permitted transfer from a 529 plan to a Roth IRA. If I wasn't checking carefully I would have paid taxes on the 1099Q.
Other than that it works pretty good.

Unexpected surprises. When I selected e files for state taxes I learned that I would be charged $30 to have my payment due of $300 deducted from my check account. That was new information, causing me to go back and do it by credit card, which may or may not also have a service fee. I could not tell. Then for the first time in the many years of using turbo tax, my estimated tax for my CA state taxes was printed out as one payment of 1,280 "net payment " \only. I had to go to the worksheet to find out that I actually owe a total of $11,080 and the individual estimated tax forms were not available for print out. What gives? I was just getting to know your format and it changes. Unsettling. I may have to use an accountant next year.

Needs more or better explanation

When our tax situation changes from one year to the next, like dependent child reaching 17 yrs of age, during the tax filing, guide us through as to what happens to our return amount? Walk us through that process.

Wish it can remove the restriction on state filing

It's really helpful! it's easy to use and operate. It would be better if it could give more detailed explanation and specific examples when it shows errors or uncertain numbers during smartCheck.
