Fast and easy to do your personal tax returns

it is faster to file the returns. Turbotax gives you step by step process to enter details and explanation is available at each and every step. I like the way it carries the previous years information so you do not have to refer to those old information to file your current year's taxes.

One star because zero stars isn't an option. Didn't like having to do a download vs installing a CD. Turbo Tax should have advertised retiring CDs before the tax season.

This service definitely streamlined the tax return process, yet the incessant advertisements for your other services was quite intrusive.

TurboTax is good, but always room for improvement

TurboTax is good and easy to use, but some improvements could be made. 1) Once a box is checked or answer given, leave the answer there, so when I go back, I don't have to redo the same questions I just did. 2) sometimes there are difficult areas that give little information on how to answer, such as the foreign tax simplification for AMT. This area asked several questions and there was little help provided, even when searching for help.

No EFile! Ugh.

Have to mail returns after efiling for years. The reason? No form 7217 to address a new 2024 requirement for business property distributions. One would think Intuit would try to get the form in, but no. Just leave it out and make the customer mail their returns in. Last year business required a work around for business returns imported from QuickBooks. Always something.

What could be better?

Overall I've like Turbotax, but I think that you could add some stuff that would help people deal with estates and trusts associated with estates (at least a simplified version with a few deductions and investment income).
More for people doing Roth conversions and reminders to do Form 2210 for people who do it later in the year.
It's a lot of money compared to your competition.
