Make it easier to download data from Fidelity 1099s and others. It was confusing especially the first time going to end etc. Next time give it to someone that has never used TT and is unfamiliar with downloading try it out. It looks like someone who was part of the development team was approving the new code. I have been using TT and predecessor for over 40 years.

Turbo Tax is good

I think this was good until the last step where it was unclear about why, even though Turbo Tax said everything was good and I had made arrangements to pay estimated 2025 NY State taxes through Turbo Tax- itsaid no taxes were due and it wouldn't let me file

I have used Turbotax for several years. This year there was a new wrinkle that was difficult to use. Under Interest and Dividends a different screen showed up that was confusing. I figured it out. Luckily the other entries looked like the ones I used before. That was helpful.

The only way to do taxes

We've used TurboTax every year since they introduced their first product, and every year it improves exponentially. The software is now so easy to use, no matter how complicated the particular tax year. And the customer service is excellent. Wouldn't do tax preparation any other way!

This year TurboTax didn't perform as in the past. The transport of information from financial institutions did not work correctly so it required manual entry. My state does not require state filing of taxes but TurboTax is now set up to almost require you to file unless you take action not to. The software should be aware of which states require filing.
