Turbo Tax is not helping with the cost of E file.

It works great and it always has.
My gripe now is don't charge me extra for e file. You are ripping me off and so is the state(s) when they charge. Needs to be included with the software. Other wise I will go back to mailing it. Much cheaper and easier. You should also have a program for Trusts

Turbo Tax is Great, but..........

I have used Turbo Tax to file my taxes for more than a decade and have never had an issue before this year. Granted, I like to file early so I usually have all the documents I need to file by the 1st of February and so I want to get it done. This year was no exception, so I completed the federal and state returns and ran all the reviews for accuracy, as normal, and after they passed the reviews, I e-filed both returns. I was surprised that I owed over $800 on my state return, but I trusted Turbo Tax's calculations. The federal return was quickly accepted, but the state was rejected. The explanation for the rejection from Turbo Tax was that there was soon to be an update on the state software, so refile when the update was completed. That's what I did, and I no longer owed $800, I was now going to receive a $350 refund. That is a huge difference! I'm sure glad that the state rejected the return! I think Turbo Tax should have advised me not to file the return before the update was completed.

Issues this year I did not have last year.

1.Had a few areas that were really difficult to figure out to enter the numbers. Had to search to find them.
2.Had to fill out some areas that were not auto filled on my IRA withdrawals that were downloaded from my Financial Institution.
Neither of these were a problem last year with Turbo Tax.

FAIL THIS TIME. LAST TIME I USED TURBO TAX. DONT KNOW WHY I HAD TO PAID $40 PLUS TAXES TO FILE MY STATE TAX. AND GOT TRICK TO PAY ANOTHER $40 TO UPGRADE FOR NO RESULTS.

TurboTax is the way to go!

Been using it since it first came out so long ago. Better each year. Financial direct downloads now include my Fiduciary, so it is even faster. Its Deductible is even better now too!

Investment Section is worse that previous years

Don't like the new investment section for dividends (mutual funds). Prior years are more straight forward
