turbo ?

New download was very misleading. There was no way to go to my purchased version.
Kept prompting me for state income when WA state does not have state income taxes!
Fewer explanations in this year: IE; Itemized deductions were never available to view, harder to see how the results were obtained....so many things left out of this years version!
Pros: My employment status changed this year

TURBOTAX ISSUE: SSN FOR NON-RESIDENT ALIENS
on March 28, 2025

from Overseas
Please consider revising the Turbotax software so that letters "NRA" can be entered in the social security entry box for non-resident alien spouses who, being foreigners and not residing in USA, do not possess/ do not need to possess a US social security number as they are not subject to US taxation. Presently the software requires that a NUMBER be entered in the social security entry box. If the entry box is left blank, the software states there is an error and prevents one from filing the return electronically, and then one is forced to file by mail (in my case from a foreign location) which is costly and causes delays.

I have been using Turbo Tax for years, and I believe it has improved over the years in terms of understandable language. I still sometimes have to look online for further explanation of your explanations, but at least you give me a good basis to be able to form my questions so that I can get answers.
Pros: I moved

Good product, but not a fan of some of the changes

I don't particularly care for the new interface to enter 1099 information. It was a little confusing. I ended up entering data for a prior year interest payer, and yet had that payer entity to delete because the way I entered it evidently did not hook the two together. So the software thought I did not have the entity this year, but I did.
Pros: I bought or sold investments
