Turbo Tax needs some work

A more frustrating experience this year, seems like the search function was not easily available for every page/section. More personal data was required, understandably for security (a plus).

Turbo tax is ok

There are various mistakes I found in turbo tax program.
When you received 1099R from state of NEW JERSEY for pension, you enter amount for federal but for the state return it is different amount , turbo tax don't transfer what you entered for state. It will transfer same amount to the state return as a federal amount-which is wrong.

Mightily impressed!

This was my first year filing taxes by myself and with the help of TurboTax. I have to say, I was mightily impressed with a) the application's ability to convert the alphanumeric values from the dialog format into the corresponding forms, with the data landing into the right documents, into the appropriate parts, on the specific lines. Amazing architecture! Colossal software effort!
b) In my version of Desktop Advantage Premium 2024, the Help function did not work, i.e. was totally unresponsive. But I was able to find the answers I needed online from the previous answers to previous requests. If I found myself in a corner, I would have turned to the TurboTax's professional help but to my surprise I was able to successfully (I hope so :) complete the Fed and two states tax submission. And so Congratulations to the TurboTax! And congratulations to myself for mastering the game. I hope the next year it will be easier.

I have problem when I delete some stuff that it s not deleting state part. Then it gave me looping error which made me cannot submit tax online

Needs Improvement in 1099 section

Each year, it seems it gets harder. This year, a change was made to combine the 1099INT and 1099 DIV steps. This made it very confusing and difficult to enter and review, instead of the old way where I can just do 1099INT then 1099 DIV separately
